It did that for me. The writing style is folksy and easy to read. There are plenty of examples and most of the explanations are clear. I don't give it a 10 because there are a couple of drawbacks.

People need to have their Web pages stand out from the crowd. HTML is relatively easy but limited, resulting in a lot of similar-looking Web pages. With Perl, any Web-page builder can create more dynamic and interactive Web pages. This book shows how to add the power of Perl scripts to make pages come alive with interactive forms, using files to track information, and more. The CD contains every code sample from the book.
